Want to discuss your favorite (or most hated) books? Look no further.

Teen Book Club meets every 4th Monday @ 6 pm in Patti’s Place

Teen Book Club at NDL is a free choice book discussion.  Meet Ms. Tara in Patti’s Place to chat about books. It can be the latest book you’ve read, your favorite book of all time, or even a book you absolutely hated.

Ms. Tara will read a different YA book to discuss each month. If you would like to read the same book, we’ll have copies available to pick up.

Upcoming Librarian Picks:

November 25 | Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson

Book Description: As the Revolutionary War begins, thirteen-year-old Isabel wages her own fight…for freedom. Promised freedom upon the death of their owner, she and her sister, Ruth, in a cruel twist of fate become the property of a malicious New York City couple, the Locktons, who have no sympathy for the American Revolution and even less for Ruth and Isabel. When Isabel meets Curzon, a slave with ties to the Patriots, he encourages her to spy on her owners, who know details of British plans for invasion. She is reluctant at first, but when the unthinkable happens to Ruth, Isabel realizes her loyalty is available to the bidder who can provide her with freedom.
