Kick off the Winter Reading season with a cozy mini retreat made just for book lovers! Register today to enjoy some quiet reading time, then head to the MakerSpace for a fun, hands-on craft while you eat your lunch. Bring a book of your choice and make it shine — decorate and bedazzle your cover to give it a unique, eye-catching sparkle.

Relax, read, and connect with fellow book lovers as you welcome the Winter Reading season in comfort and creativity.

Registration is required.

Supplies needed

• Sack lunch (optional)
• Book to bedazzle
• Any items to help make your day of reading extra cozy

Schedule

10 am – 10:30 am: Registration (Bigford, on the lower level)

• Light refreshments
• Coffee / Tea / Hot Chocolate
• Retreat supplies

10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Reading

• Pick a location and start reading

12:30 pm – 1:30 pm: MakerSpace Lunch & Craft 

• Eat Lunch (optional)
• Bring a book of your choice to bedazzle the cover.
• Talk about the book you were reading.

You do not need a library card to attend this FREE event.
