Library Card Services
Your library card gives you access to the Michigan eLibrary Catalog (MeLCat), administered by the Library of Michigan.
MeLCat allows you to order books, audiobooks, music, movies and other materials from more than 400 participating Michigan libraries and have them delivered to Niles District Library for your convenient pickup.
NDL holds more than 80,000 physical materials in the building, but thousands more are accessible online via Hoopla and Libby.

Don’t miss out on the newest book by your favorite author! Stop by the Checkout Desk to sign up for the Bestsellers Club. Tell us your favorite authors so that we can automatically reserve a copy of new books by your chosen authors.

Niles District Library continually adds new items to our collection, and some old time favorites are always especially popular. You can easily place books or movies on hold so that we can call or text you just as soon as the items you want become available.

Holds are unavailable for movies.

To place a hold, contact the library at (269) 683-8545 or place the hold through your online account.

If you or someone you know is in a nursing home or can’t get away from home often, you can sign up for our Homebound Service and request delivery of most library items. Deliveries go out monthly on the 2nd Thursday.

To request this service, contact the Checkout Desk at (269) 683-8545, ext. 101.
