Explore the Trillium Woodland Preserve this spring with Chikaming Open Lands’ Education & Outreach Coordinator, Grace Fredenburg. Discover the preserve’s diverse plant community and enjoy an abundance of spring wildflowers, including the striking Great White Trillium (Trillium grandiflorum), one of three trillium species that inspired the preserve’s name.
Please arrive early, as the hike will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.

Hike Description: This is an easy-to-moderate hike with occasional elevation changes.
Suggested Supplies:
- Due to recent rain, trail conditions may be muddy. Please wear sturdy, waterproof shoes suitable for uneven terrain, and dress in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing.
- We also recommend bringing water, binoculars, and a camera if you’d like to take photos. Hiking poles may be helpful as well.
Please Note:
- There are no restroom facilities available at this location.
- The library will not be providing transportation to or from this event.
- In the event of bad weather, the hike will be rescheduled to Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the same time.
