2025 Niles District Library Writing Contest Ends
This is the last day to submit your work. 

Entry Guidelines:

• Entry Dates: July 1 – 31, 2025
• One entry per participant.
• All entries must be original works created by the entrant.
• Plagiarized submissions will be disqualified.
• Authors retain full rights to their submitted stories.

📄 Submission Instructions:

• You may fill out a submission cover sheet (available at the Youth Services Desk) and submit a printed version of your work in person.

• Fill out the digital submission form on our website (Nileslibrary.com) and attach your work.

🏆 Winners Announcement:  Monday, August 11, 2025

Categories

Youth ( Ages 0 – 12)

• Story (up to 5,000 words)

Teen (Ages 13 – 17)

• Story (up to 5,000 words)
• Mini Lit (short stories, and essays less than 1,000 words )
• Poetry (less than 1,000 words)

Adult (Ages 18+)

• Story (up to 5,000 words)
• Mini Lit (short stories, and essays less than 1,000 words )
• Poetry (less than 1,000 words)

You do not need a library card to participate in this FREE event.
