Deciphering Medieval Animals

Dr. Ashley Castelino, from the Medieval Institute of the University of Notre Dame

Saturday, April 11 | 10:30am – 11:30am | Community Room | All Ages

Join Dr Ashley Castelino from the University of Notre Dame’s Medieval Institute for an entertaining and educational tour of some of medieval literature’s strangest animals. Solve complex animal riddles, translate old languages, and try your best to decipher some of the most ridiculous animal illustrations. Along the way, you’ll learn about what people in the medieval world really thought about the animals they lived with, what makes humans human, and why medieval monks simply could not draw a lion!

No registration is required. You do not need a library card to attend this FREE event.
