Craft Supply Swap at the Niles District Library

Do you have craft supplies you are no longer using? Are you looking for new creative ideas? Join us for the Craft Supply Swap on Saturday, May 2nd. The Swap begins at 11:30 am for the general public and ends at 2:30 pm, or until all supplies are gone. VIP ticket holders enjoy early entrance at 10:30 am.

The Niles District Library reserves the right to reject, and or dispose of any donated supplies deemed inappropriate.

🕚 General Admission: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (or until supplies run out)

How It Works

• Donations accepted from Monday, March 2, through Thursday, April 30, during regular library hours. New or gently used craft supplies only; all items must be clean and usable.
• VIP Access: Donors receive one VIP ticket for early entry to the swap.
• Bring a Bag: You’ll need your own bag to collect your new craft treasures.
• Everything Is Free! Any leftover supplies will be donated to a local charity.

Who Can Participate

Everyone is welcome!
You do not need to donate to attend.

Items Accepted

Sewing & Fabric:
Fabric, felt, rulers, patterns, ribbon, thread, notions (scissors, seam rippers, measuring tapes, etc.)

Yarn & Needle Arts:
Yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles, patterns, embroidery floss, hoops, needles, and looms, etc.

Scrapbooking:
Cardstock, decorative paper, tools, and rubber stamps, etc.

Painting & Drawing:
Canvases, sketch/watercolor paper, brushes, easels, pencils, pastels, etc.

Jewelry Making:
Beads, wire, tools (pliers, beading needles, etc.)

Miscellaneous Crafts:
Silk flowers, greenery, wreath supplies, foam cores, decorative containers, baskets, stencils, unpainted wood cutouts, craft foam sheets, instructional craft or pattern books, etc.

Items Not Accepted

• Liquids (paint, paint thinner, additives)
• Spray paint
• Unfinished craft projects
• Dirty or unidentifiable items

No registration required. You do not need a library card to attend this FREE event.
