DESCRIPTION:Pumpkin Painting\n\nSaturday\, October 25 | 10 am – 12 pm | MakerSpace | Ages 6 – 18+\n\nBring a pumpkin to paint and enter it in the Niles Fall Festival Pumpkin Decorating Contest\, sponsored by the Niles Public Arts Commission. Pumpkins will not be provided. \nNo registration is required. You do not need a library card to participate in this event. \nFor more information\, please contact Niles District Library at programming@nileslibrary.net or 269-683-8545. \nPumpkin Carving and Decorating Contest Rules \n1. Eligibility\nThe contest is open to all individuals ages 6 to 100+. \n2. Entry Categories \n\nCarved Pumpkins\nDecorated Pumpkins (Non-Carved)\n\n3. Entry Guidelines \n\nAll pumpkins must be family-friendly and appropriate for all audiences.\nCarved entries may include traditional carving or creative cutouts.\nDecorated entries may feature paint\, accessories\, fabric\, or other non-carving methods.\nOnly real pumpkins are allowed—no artificial pumpkins.\nAll entries must be the original work of the participant(s).\n\n4. Submission Details\nPumpkins must be dropped off on Saturday\, October 25\, at the Niles History Center between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM. \n5. Judging and Prize\nWinners will be announced at 2:30 PM.\nAll pumpkins must be picked up by 4:00 PM on Saturday. The venue cannot guarantee the safety of entries left overnight. \nCash prizes will be awarded in four age groups: \n\nAges 6–8\nAges 9–12\nAges 13–17\nAges 18+\n\nThis event is proudly sponsored by the Niles Public Arts Commission.
