This hands-on experience deepened his understanding of the art and science of winemaking. After earning his WSET2 diploma and retiring from a corporate career\, Steve reignited his passion for Michigan wine by launching If Vines Could Talk. Today\, he also offers private tastings and delivers captivating talks that bring the history and craftsmanship of Southwest Michigan winemaking to life. Tune in to If Vines Could Talk on your favorite podcast platform to explore the vibrant stories of Michigan wine. SUMMARY:Argentine Tango Beginner Class
DESCRIPTION:Argentine Tango Beginner Class\nSaturday\, September 20 | 11 am – 12 pm | Rotunda | Ages 18+ \nIf you’ve ever thought\, “I’d love to learn to dance\, but I can’t dance\,” then Argentine tango is the dance for you. With no experience or partner necessary\, you only need to come to this class of fundamental elements as you are. You’ll walk away from it with a greater sense of body awareness and connection to yourself and to your community of dancers. You’ll learn a little bit about tango music\, how to find a connection with someone you don’t yet know\, and\, yes\, how to hit that beat! \nIf you have a pair of smooth-soled shoes for dancing\, bring them along! If not\, we’ll have a few pairs of dance shoe socks available to slip over your shoes. \nBio\nEric Andrew Gingerich started his tango journey many years ago\, one night in Seoul\, South Korea. After discovering that his “hips didn’t move like that” (back then) while taking salsa classes\, he stumbled into a tango club (Argentine\, not ballroom) one night and became transfixed. Music with instruments he hadn’t yet heard of resounded through the space. Couples locked in heart-to-heart embraces walked synchronized with the beat and each other. He knew he had found his dance. Eric Andrew Gingerich has since trained with a multitude of masters\, and tango continues to take him dancing all over the world. \nNo registration is required.
