Local History and Genealogy
The Local History Room is located across from the information desk. It is open 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday, and Wednesday through Saturday. On Tuesdays it is open noon to 8:00pm. Our resources focus on Niles and the immediately surrounding area. Because many of the items available here are unique or out-of-print, most cannot be checked out. However, there is a copier conveniently located inside the room. Copies are fifteen cents each. Our experienced staff will be happy to assist you with local history and genealogy research.

The online Obituary Index represents over ten years of collection and organization of obituary entries from our holdings. While extensive, it is not yet complete and additions are being made on a daily basis. We encourage you to check back if you do not find what you are looking for and welcome suggestions for future development and comments. CLICK HERE to send comments or suggestions. |
